shocking here, looks pretty much just like the ranks. Only thing notable is how close DDD is to jumping Phi Mu. Combined with DDD's recent step up in competitions and involvement, topping Phi Mu in grades could really shake up the top 4 if consistent.

Most notable is how close kd is to jumping chi o! Combined with kd winning and stepping it up this year!
Chi o you're not as great as you think you are.

Last year Chi O and DG had the same GPA with KD below them. The top 3 are always within a tenth of a point and Chi O is normally on top and DG and KD flip flop over who is 2 and 3 and how far apart semester by semester. This has been going on for years. It doesn't change how powerful all of them are on campus.

Although the GPAs are always very close, Chi O has been first in grades for at least the past 10 years (except for spring 2013 when they tied with DG). KD and DG flip flop for second on a regular basis. Your comment about "KD winning this year and jumping Chi O" makes no sense.

Don't think grade rank is so significant when you look at how close ALL groups are. I mean why would you just pick one group out. ANY one could easily pass the group above them ....1/10 of a point is not bragging material. Involvement and competitions and voted organizations however, is. So watch out everyone.......ADPi may pass you all!!!

Phi Mu. You got passed last semester by Tri Delta and now they are only .01 behind you and you refuse to listen to anyone who says it actually is a big deal. You aren't as great as you think you are.

Isn't ADPi on social probation? Don't think you are going to pass anyone like that...

Since they have over a 3.0, I would assume that ADPo is no longer on social probation.

Chi Omega-3.51
.03 difference to
Kappa Delta-3.48
.05 difference to
Delta Gamma-3.43 -Top 3 three are within a .08 of each other-
.07 difference to
Phi Mu-3.37 -Top 4 are within .14 of each other-
.01 difference to
Delta Delta Delta-3.36
.16 difference to
Pi Beta Phi-3.2
.07 difference to
Zeta Tau Alpha-3.13
.06 difference to
Alpha Delta Pi-3.07 -Total of .44 separation between all GPAs

This shows pretty clear divides. Top 3 are less than one tenth apart. Phi Mu and DDD are middle and right on top of each other, but over one tenth away from top. Pi Phi, ZTA, and ADPi are another one tenth behind the middle groups. All are over a 3.0 which is wonderful.

You people have wayyyyy too much time on your hands!
Just a little OCD to have to break down 10ths of points.
Clear divides are in the original posts and they are certainly not significant divides between any of the 8. I highly doubt a pnm would make a decision based on a decimal point. Fact is they are all above a 3.0......fantastic!!!!

Thank you for posting gpa's!!!!
Shows just how smart our sororities are!!!!!
All of them ...NOT just one!
Super good job on all being above 3.0!!!!
Top two- 3.5
Next three- 3.4
Next one - 3.2
Next two 3.1

Not sure how you decided to round there champ, but GPAs are rounded by two decimal places. A 3.37 is not a 3.4 and a 3.07 is not a 3.1.

Well champ, it is basic rounding 101.
Shows just how close they are. Here's the explanation A 3.37 rounds to 3.4
And 3.07 rounds to a 3.1.

by: .....no

The point is thats not how GPAs work. They are rounded by 2 places. You don't get to magically increase your GPA by three tenths by calling a 3.37 a 3.4.

A 3.37 to a 3.4 is rounding up 3 HUNDREDTHS.... Hardly a jump and certainly not magic. Shows just how close gpa's are. Not one sorority can brag about being "the smart ones" . Way to close for that. Obviously they are ALL smart to have above a 3.0.
Or for your benefit a 3.00.

by: Wow

The point is not how to round but the skewing you do in your presumption that you should round to the tenths. By your logic, why don't we round of up in the ones place and say that one sorority has a 4 and the rest have 3's

This is "....no" from above and that's exactly what my point was. Glad someone else sees how rounding that far totally changes the GPAs. It seems like a way to claim the sororities grades are closer than they actually are. While it's wonderful everyone is above 3.0, there is still a significant difference between a 3.51 and a 3.07.

Sorry for the partial post above ...

While I agree that all groups have strong GPAs, I disagree with your statement that "not one sorority can brag about being the smart ones". When one group has had the highest GPA for over 15 years (except for a tie for Spring 13), I believe they have earned the right to be very proud of their GPA. Likewise, the two other groups who have consistently been 2 or 3 in grades over the same time period deserve the right to brag. Even with the GPAs within a few hundredths of each other these rankings remain consistent.

By: Hmmm
by: Agree!

XO, DG, and KD can all claim to be the "smart" sororities. XO deserves high praise for being #1 for so long. DG and KD equally deserve praise for always being 2 and 3 (they swap frequently, and it's always very close). When 3 sororities have been #1-3 for over 20 years, they can brag about being the more academic based houses. #4-however many chapters were here at the time have fluctuated frequently up until the last like 2 years.

I really like that idea!
And no there is not one sorority that can brag! Be proud.... Yes!
Brag....nope .
All above a 3.0....yes!!!!
All brag....yes!!!
100ths of a point isn't bragging material!
No pnm will sway because of 100ths of a point.

Oh yeah @agree cause there's such a big difference in a 3.1 and 3.4.
You obviously didn't contribute to any of the 8 Gpa's if you think only 3 sororities can brag about being smart. A 3.0 to a 3.5 who cares the in between. They are all smart and I really hope you're smart enough to see that. Decisions really are not made on gpa!

By: Right
by: But....it is.

A 3.1 is fine. But a 3.4 is better. There is a difference. Just like you'll (well maybe not your sorority if you're arguing over this you must have a lower GPA and take more grade risks) likely cut a girl a girl because of a 2.7 but a 3.0 is okay. 3 tenths is a difference.

by: Big difference

There is definitely a difference in a 3.1 GPA and a 3.4 GPA ...while a 3.1 is a VERY respectable GPA it does not allow you to become a member of departmental honor societies or allow membership in other academic honorary groups. A 3.4 will gain membership in these groups (which are very impressive on a resume') and will also allow a sophomore to become a member of the prestigious Shackouls Honors College.

The difference in two individuals with a 3.1 and a 3.4 may not seem significant but the difference in 250 girls with a 3.1 vs 250 girls with a 3.4 is significant.
