PIKE gets a lot of bad rep nationally, but the chapter at Tech isn't that bad. That being said, there's nothing that really stands out about them. They get involved in a few things, just not enthusiastically or well. They have parties, but not big ones. They aren't tiny, but not huge either. Essentially, they're as average as it comes, which is a bad thing when it comes to reputation. They seem to be dropping in numbers, but I'm not sure if that's due to something, or just a temporary dip.

Smallest fraternity on campus, so it's really hard to peg a "feel" for the chapter. It swings drastically year to year, since when there are only 10 guys, 2 jerks can ruin a chapter one year, but the chapter can swing back to being amazing once they graduate. They aren't involved on campus, but it's more due to their size, rather than a lack of caring. They do at least participate in intramurals. Worth checking out to see if the brothers that year are cool dudes or not.

Honestly, I wish there were other things to rate them on, because their rating shouldn't be this low. They aren't involved on campus at all & they're super tiny, but the group of guys is good. They're not generally even mentioned when talking about fraternities at Tech, since they aren't involved in Greek life whatsoever. But if you're from a farm town & are looking for some fun, SUPER country guys to hang with, definitely give Ag Sig a look if you don't care about the Greek Life involvement.

The guys at Sig Ep are not the image that comes to mind when you think of a fraternity. They seem to really look out for each other & enjoy spending time together, but when it comes to getting outside of their circle, there's not much going on there. Rarely had parties & when they did, they were relatively small & not much fun. But if you get along with the guys & feel like the style of fraternity they've modeled fits you, I'd definitely recommend rushing. Just don't expect much.

Don't bother, unless there's a particular reason you want to join a fraternity with no campus presence, few brothers (and still dropping numbers), & constantly on social probation for the dumb stuff they do. Fairly certain TTU is trying to kill them off.

Basically the opposite of my Sigma Chi review. The Kappa Sig chapter used to be pretty awful, but a lot of good guys have joined the past couple of years & seem to be turning things around. As far as my classiness rating goes, they still earn the 1 star even with the turnaround. With events like gentleman's night & mud wrestling, they're definitely as country "good-ole boy" as it gets. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to be aware of if it's not your scene. Good guys for the most part.

Sigma Chi were some of my favorites freshman/sophomore years. But as the years went on, they started getting...sketchy. I stopped going to parties there after seeing a lot of things go on that made me question why I was there. They eventually got tagged with some minor stuff & are on social probation now, but it hasn't really changed. Don't expect a good time if you rush here, unless you want to pick up a project of trying to repair what used to be a pretty good fraternity.

FIJI definitely isn't for everyone, it's an acquired taste. They'd be the best fraternity on campus by a mile if the brothers weren't so full of themselves. To put them in high school terms, they're the popular guy everyone wanted to eat with in lunch, but nobody hung out with outside of school. Fiji is active in things like homecoming & parties, but the individuals that make up the chapter are not great guys generally. Any I knew personally rarely went to class. Top tier frat, bottom tier guys.

The brothers in Phi Delt were all great guys. They used to be a lot bigger, but about 10 years ago, they lost a lot of brothers. They've grown since then, but are still smaller than some of the bigger chapters on campus. With the new house on the way & one of the brothers being elected as SGA president, the Phi Delts on campus should be on the rise.
