Most of these comment on this site are completely bogus. Girls, go though rush trying to find a house that fits YOU! Everyone obviously have different opinions on here. If you are going to join a sorority based on looks and popularity then with whatever you choose you arnt going to be happy. I am in a sorority and know a lot about the other chapters bt we all offer different things.

Here's some advice for PNMs from an ex-Greek: 1. Don't accept a bid you're not excited about-- almost $1000 a semester is so not worth letters on your chest that you don't absolutely love. 2. Odds are the sorority doesn't live up to what it claims during rush. This is because they WANT to attract girls. They fabricate the truth. Look at the rankings, and know that there is some truth to them.. Not the straight 1's or the straight 5's and 4's, but the ones in between that actually give valid reasons. 3. Pay attention to how they act. Are these sisters that are even worth $1000 a semester for? Or are you paying $1000 for potential future enemies? Be smart about it.

Sororities at UH are not all great, but they're not all bad. For the most part they're all equal. If we're going to rank, this is the real rankings:

And that's coming from someone who is in one of the lower ones. This is just how people see it. No matter what everyone will hate - even on the ones they say suck. I love my sorority and would not change it for the world. Make sure to keep that in mind when your rush. You are the only one that will share that bond and experience. NO ONE else will.
