Rec letters for sororities
by: NewbieHow important/necessary are letters of recommendation from Greek alums to get into a sorority at Mizzou? I’m in-state will be coming fall ‘26 and I know several active sorority members at Mizzou but my mom wants to know if she should reach out to her friends on fb to get me rec letters. She’s seen several people do that for their daughters going to Mizzou the last couple years…

Your connections are far more important and rec letters aren't required any longer and never get you a bid but they still don't hurt. It's one more way to get yourself looked at especially when other pnm's will be getting theirs. You have plenty of time so go ahead. Most alums are more than happy to do it. Be sure to thank them individually for taking the trouble.
