marching vs recruitment

I want to rush in August but the week of formal recruitment is also the week of Mizzou's marching band camp. I read that the band girls who are rushing run on a different schedule for rush. Do those girls have a lesser chance of getting a bid? Do many girls do both? Do y'all recommend it? I love marching band but really want to be a part of a sorority and don't want that to hurt my chances.
