why doesn't alpha phi require study hours

by: Why

They could easily be on par with AXO, if they just worked on improving the active members grades wouldn't it be enough to bump them up a couple decimal pls? I understand not wanting to recruit different girls but that's not necessarily required to boost GPA. Seems like a win win to me, I don't get it

Let's get some facts straight.

Alpha Phi cannot REQUIRE study hours. It is against their International policies and considered hazing. They can, however require study hours for girls who are on academic probation. So, all of the nay-sayers who seem to think APhi doesn't try to help their girls who aren't making grades, can stop.

Second, Alpha Phi does not fine for missing events, as it is the objective that members should go to events because they want to, not because they are being forced. This also comes in to play if girls work, have night classes, homework, etc ... to encourage them to remain a well-rounded student and not let sorority involvement take over their life. However, they do fine for missing formal chapter, recruitment, and initiation.

Can we be done?

PNM's .... know that every house will have a group of girls within the 200+ women who you will find someone to connect with. At the end of the day, it does not matter what your house's average GPA was -- it matters what YOUR GPA is, YOUR involvement. And honestly? Yes, Alpha Phi needs help in academics and involvement, look at it as an opportunity to make a difference!

Happy Recruitment.

Seriously, enough alpha phi. You have made fools of yourself. Give it a rest already. You PAID to have the other post removed, you may as well pay, or at lease request, to have this one removed . And btw, most houses have 300+ girls, aphi is the only one that usually has 200, just like you said above. There's a reason girls drop you, and you are proving why. You guys weren't all that bad a few years ago, WHAT HAS HAPPENED?!

It honestly is sad what has happened to this sorority. As the last discussion went, you can 'request' to have any post removed(please see Terms of Use). Also, because there is much maneuvering around the site which isn't always easy, you can GOOGLE having a post removed from GR. A 'request', years ago, was said to be removed within 24 hours. Because the site has grown there is a link through IU's GR page that has an updated fee of $4.99 for immediate removal, because now it is taking upward of 15 days to have posts removed because of demand. ANYONE can check that out.
So, because the above aphi once again posted misinformation, in addition to the data that clearly shows their retention problems, poor grade problem, rumors of bullying and poor sisterhood, they can now add credibility problems to their list. Please just give it a rest already.

Was there ever a question about their credibility? Of course they requested to have that post regarding telling actives to be all over this website promoting their name(good or bad just get their name out). And of course they had the post removed and repeatedly said one CAN'T have posts removed from this website. And of course they keep upvoting and downvoting posts regarding them. And of course they now have only a few girls making sure to keep their posts at the top of this site. And of course they look ridiculous. Old News.

Listen, EINSTEIN! Do some research, ok? So basically what you are saying is if a 'thread'(the original post) contains someones name or other 'identifying' information, it CAN NOT AND WILL NOT be removed? Interesting. And false. And the 'thread' you are referring to specifically called out a specific position on their exec board so all one had to do was go look at their page, and find that position, and lo and behold there is her name and picture! And you REALLY think they are going to leave that 'thread'? Where a specific girl can be identified? Again, please look a little harder than just clicking one button, as someone said, do a little research, even google it..oh, wait, that't right, that's probably not something you want to do..

Ok now let's prove this one wrong - Google mizzou gr "Aphi paid to have post removed" and see that a) the whole point was that they "paid" to remove it (not even possible) 2) no names were mentioned. You're so sad keep trying to save your ass on here, Aphi is still gonna have a great rush and YOU are still gonna be a sorry GDI with no bid

Name the first Greek week event this past year, then explain to me how a non mizzou Greek has this sort of knowledge about "aphi's secrets." You're such a wannabe it's pathetic.

when I googled mizzou and a few houses I wanted to look at social media for(tri delt, gphi, aphi, axo, dg, and zeta to be exact)this post came up. Is this true? Knowing how competitive and cut throat the world has become would a house really try to cut others down, flood a board with their name and then ask for posts to be removed? after looking at these boards for a while I'm now understanding things differently. and although this is a random board I did take the time to look back, even at posts that came up from a few years ago, to get a better handle on peoples thoughts. I'm def going in with a complete open mind, but as a journalism major I do like to research things. there seemed to be a couple op with this topic and then numerous responses(which when you do the extended search you see).not ruling them out, just curious
