houses i could get dropped from
by: newgirlHi, I am coming to Bama next year from New England. I have a 1400 on the SAT and a 3.2 GPA. I was wondering what houses i would get cut from ? I know I am a legacy to one house, but I know that doesn't guarantee me.

Most houses want a 3.3 or higher. Some have a hard cut off at that GPA, some have a hard cut off at a lower one. My suggestion is to try to get up to a 3.3 GPA by the end of your year. Panhellenic uses your final transcript to check your GPA. Also, take a summer course or two at your community college, if you can. Those classes can count toward your GE classes and if you do well (3.3 or higher), that will serve you well for recruitment. We will see those college credits on your transcript, too, as long as those classes are submitted by Aug. 1. Good luck. Start getting recs. There are girls from NE in every house and all our houses are strong and are filled with girls doing great things!
