No one from a good neighborhood (memorial, Highland Park, etc) is going to choose DG or Zeta over other top ones. Just a fact.that does not mean they are not great girls in every chapter, but top rushes who are from Greek families are going to choose Kappa, Tri Delta, Pi Phi, Chi Omega, or even Theta......probably in that order. Zeta and DG get great girls from small towns, but I just do not see a way they will ever be top tier in Texas.
Kappa
Tri Delta
Pi Phi
Chi Omega
DG
Zeta
Theta

That is not true at all... I know girls from Zeta, DG, DZ and AXO all from Highland Park and from the top private schools there also. Also I know for a fact 3 XO legacies that CHOSE to go elsewhere. Just because you are from XO or Theta and are sick of people saying you have dropped you are kidding yourself if you think you are still ranked high. You are stupid to make that statement.
Top Tier no order
Tri Delt/Kappa/DG/PiPhi
middle tier no order
Zeta/AXO/XO/DZ
bottom tier in order
Theta/GPhi/KD
ADPi

Zeta Tau Alpha is a sorority that tends to be far more popular in the South than elsewhere in the country. The reputations of Zetas tend to range depending on who you talk to, but "party girls" is a fairly common descriptor; the less charitable have compared Zetas to the cast of the Jersey Shore. Possibly because of this, Zetas can often have highly polarized opinions among both fraternities and other sororities. Many other sororities say they are hot in a pretty fake way, with heavy use of makeup, and a bit of a "princess" complex.
Although Zetas tend to be committed to philanthropy and consistently-successful fundraisers, part of their "Southern-only" reputation seems to come with the sentiment that they only accept white girls. This, of course, is hotly disputed by the Zetas themselves

To the two last comments. It is really sad that A and M has five sororities in the bottom. Does anyone believe that? One sorority has struggled but they are trying hard. Their house was remodeled. Zeta may be big in the south and that is fine with us southerners. I am not a Zeta, but find myself defending them. They have some lovely women who are not white. I think most groups belong in the middle. I not not even sure who is the top right now. Many sororities got some great girls. Some who have done well in the past, have left us scratching our heads over the girls that got. I think this shows how little Greekrank counts. The girls going through recruitment do have a mind of their own.

I think anyone that continues to put a large portion of our chapters in the bottom tier is just hurting us as a whole. I also agree we only have one house that is not up to par yet but they are trying very hard and they have improved this year. I also agree that there is not really a distinct top tier here. Most of the houses are equal and only a few girls who think this pathetic website means anything will continue to post otherwise to make her own chapter look better than what it really is. There are tiers but they are not that different from each other.
Tri Delt/Kappa/PiPhi/DG/Zeta/AXO/XO/DZ/Theta/GPhi/KD/ADPi... all equal
