low gpa, worth rushing?

hi, so im a sophomore and i was interested in rushing for the fall but if your gpa falls under a 3.0 would it still be worth it to rush? which sororities care most about gpa?

Truth? You will need some major “hooks” to make up for a below 3.0 GPA. That could be VERY strong recs, strong resume, good involvement + leadership from your freshman year (FLO’s, Fish Camp counselor, etc), lots of in-house friends, etc. Something to make girls fight to keep you off the GPA cut list.
The Panhellenic average is a little over 3.5 and every chapter falls roughly between 3.4-3.6. Most (all?) chapters also have a minimum GPA to pledge that can fall anywhere from 2.5-3.0+.
If you have invitations to Sisterhood round, you should feel pretty good that you won’t get cut for GPA past that. Expect significant cuts after Open House and be open to EVERY chapter. You might quickly find yourself with only 1-4 chapters after Open House if your GPA is significantly below 3.0.
