Girls have sorority row but there is no frat row. Frats have houses but they’re all over cstat area. Social scene is probably best there is at A&M but there’s also men’s and women’s orgs as well which are basically like frats/srats except no pledgeship semester like the frats and less competitive than srat rush process.

Greek life if just poor here. If you have been in Greeks life at another school I would recommend not joining your chapter here. The sororities here are so uptight and I used to have way more fun at my old school.

I went through recruitment and can vouch for how bad the system is for girls going through.

The University has decided to move all the IFC tailgates from West Campus (already far from Kyle Field) to all the way at the rugby fields, next to the Bonfire Memorial, due to complaints from alumni that were near the IFC spot on West Campus. Disappointed in TAMU's decision to further screw over and suppress Greek life here.

Aggies are known for having poor Greek life. The sororities here are very regulated and very uptight. Other SEC sororities are a lot more relaxed and willing to have fun.

There's a real vibe on campus that the school doesn't care about Greeks. If you look at any other school similar to texas A and M the Greeks are booming. I've heard that this school cares more about the corps and women's orgs than they do sororities. I am conflicted in joining one because it would be fun, but this school lacks the exclusivity in the fact that basically all girls get a bid.

The school must really hate fraternities seeing that they forced them all to tailgate way in the middle of west campus a half mile from the stadium...

SAE, KA, Delt, SigChi, FIJI, Pike, and Beta are the best frats TAMU has to offer, hands down. Any others are too small and socially irrelevant or too new, and just aren't worth the time. Sororities, whether they realize it or not, actually have a lot of the same kinds of girls, and they're all clique-y.
