by: CuriousCan you all give me an update on what is going on with the Delts house?

To quote the late Gene Wilder on pilams getting delts house:
Wonka: [angrily] Wrong, sir! Wrong! Under section 37B of the contract signed by him, it states quite clearly that all offers shall become null and void if - and you can read it for yourself in this photostatic copy - "I, the undersigned, shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein and herein contained," et cetera, et cetera... "Fax mentis, incendium gloria cultum," et cetera, et cetera... Memo bis punitor delicatum! It's all there! Black and white, clear as crystal! You don't get the Delt house! You bumped into the ceiling, which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get... NOTHING!!! You lose! GOOD DAY, SIR!

So I have a friend on IFC and he told me the following organizations submitted bids/proposals:
Skulls
PiLam
TPA
Beta Sig
But he didn't know if anyone else had. He also said they didn't hear of anyone confirming anything yet so wouldn't believe everything on this thread. Those orgs do surprise me though.

There's truth to Anon's post. Most of TPA lives in Terra and are paying $400-600 per month. Sophs, Juniors, and Seniors live there. They were just under quota for rush. Also, dont forget live-out fees that can add an extra $400 per semester to dues.
Delts is the same price as living in the dorms on campus. So that means 40 something sophomores should be able to live in if they are willing to pay the same price per month they are paying now. However, many sophomores move off campus to cheaper living arrangements.
I just don't see how the numbers are there. The girls living in Terra would have to pay 2x more than what they are paying now to live in Delts. It makes sense that rumors of TPA lying about their numbers are circulating.

There has been talk about TPA keeping Terra. That would mean living in Delts would be mandatory for Sophomores (current freshman) and Juniors/Seniors would live in Terra.
Numbers wise I'm not sure TPA has enough current Freshman + sophs/juniors/seniors living in Terra willing to pay $1000 per month. That's where the issue is.
Finally, this should be highlighted. Girls joined TPA this year without knowing they would have to live in next year paying 2x more than what they thought they would pay. This is highly irresponsible. They cannot make it mandatory for next years' sophomores to live in, many girls will drop.
Imagine if you joined an off campus organization, probably on purpose, due to low dues and a good sisterhood. Now imagine being told you have to pay $1000 a month plus dues in order to live in a house that your chapters' upperclassmen are forcing on you. Would you feel comfortable in that organization?
