They’re not apart of “great 8”
Doesn’t matter what happened bc they don’t matter

I want to know what happened to them and the bigger picture. They used to be a great option and now they are for sure a fallback. They are top of the lower tier or bottom of the middle tier. Can anyone explain it? I think it happened over the last 15 years or something like that.

So basically DG and ADPi always take smart girls and now the smart girls are not as hot which means those two sororities have dropped.

Tri Delt is actually better than this site makes them sound. Despite what is said on here, no one is choosing Alpha Phi ahead of them. What has happened to them though is that they don’t have a type any more. Honestly, the last couple of years they have competed against Zeta and lost the hot girls to them and against Chi o and lost the PKT type girls to them. They still have to cut really hard too which also hurts them. Honestly, they are still a great chapter just taking more suburban girls. They used to be known for their looks but honestly there just aren’t enough girls who fit that mold who aren’t being snapped up by better chapters for that to still be true. Their rush strategy needs to change.

either way, DDD needs to step up their game. I get it that there aren’t enough pretty sorority types at Texas anymore but the other chapters are getting them and DDD has had some problems getting their share lately.

I think Tri Delt has a lot of pretty/cute girls actually.

Also, above is acting like pretty is all that a typical sorority girls is. That might be true for some chapters, but not the top ones here. A good sorority girl is one who has it all and looks are less important than social skills and how well girls in the chapter like you. Looks can help, of course, but plenty of gorgeous girls who don't fit what a chapter is looking for get dropped. Also girls who are smart, well liked, well connected, and good socially are hands down top of PKT bid lists. Cute or pretty give girls who fit above criteria a boost but are not enough to get them past day one on their own. Chi O and Tri Delt both try for that same type as well just from different schools. Zeta goes for girls that fit and are sweet and hot. Looks are not all that matter to any of them!

ChiO and DDD are not going for them same girl. Protect DDD all ya want but something’s off with them and it’s not the complexion of UT student life as a whole. They have no confidence during rush and know certain Big 6 types are choosing higher ranked chapters and when those girls somehow slip through the cracks, DDD has lost out but APhi is there to grab them.

We are talking about girls who are buds with PKT/ChiO/Zeta that fall through for no actual reason other than there just isn’t enough room for all the friends in a high end friend group and those girls get picked up by APhi while DDD then has to take randoms. Look at their past 2 PCs.

Yeah, DDD has a strong group of upper classmen but they lost half as seniors last year and the randoms are spreading. They are def not as elite as they were and APhi, on the other hand, just keeps getting stronger.

APhi used to suck forever but something’ s changed with them in the last 15 years. They are just going for it and you can tell. Who ever would’ve had them hanging out with Zeta, Theta, PiPhi and tops frats in the past?? That’s normal for them now.

Sure, here’s hoping they rush well but there’s not much interest in them to begin with.
