Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 1.0 Despite the previous comment made, the people who are responding on here DO care. Situations like this happen far more often than they should and need to be properly addressed. The fact that Theta has not yet made a public statement (and no the responses in the comments do not count) is extremely concerning.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 5.0 The stuff that is being posted on here is by people who have no actual interest in understanding what is happening They see something and immediately go to the internet to spread anonymous hate. All situations are being dealt with internally. The blocking of a previous woman of colour was uncalled for and due to an issue with the member running the Instagram and was not a reflection of theta's actions nor in my opinion was it a matter of race. From my understanding, the member/ex-member had a falling out that was not related to the issues brought up in the fall and therefore had no connection as far as I am aware. This is not to say I agree with the blocking, I would just like people to understand that no situation is black or white. Our member development committee met for 3-4 hours for their last two meetings. So please do not perceive that this is being taken lightly or that an investigation is not being done. I suggest that if you want to see the actions being taken as of right now, you look at the comments of the Black History Month post. I think it is shameful to speak on an issue hatefully when you have no legitimate understanding of what is happening. You may ask to hear of actions that are happening but also understand that in situations such as these it is not best to rush. Would you prefer it done with care and thought or quickly to appease the masses.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 1.9 No matter what, theta seems to find themselves in some kind of scandal. No matter what happened, they need to remove the member in question from chapter. These are grown women, not kids. We've seen this happen before where they claim to make changes and then don't. Stop coddling your members and do what's right.

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 4.5 At a recent exchange their girls were classy but not in the boring “I can’t say anything fun” way they used to be when their had stricter advisors. They were laughing and having a good time without being TOO vulgar. Something I can appreciate. Look forward to seeing them more in the community in the future!

Kappa Alpha Theta - ΚΑΘ Sorority at University of Alberta - UA 4.4 The fact that today is Holocaust Remembrance Day, and should be a day for remembering those lives we lost, and their girls and their page is all posting about their sorority’s day, and have chosen to pick the same date as Holocaust remember and easy is astounding. When they chose this date, how hard would it have been to look at the fact that today is meant to commemorate those lives lost, and survivors, and NOT made it all about their sorority???

I have put this on thetas page because they seem to be taking quite a bit of hate lately, and being gossiped of, but this message is for all. None of the chapters are bad. They are different. And have different values. But they’re all sisters in a Panhellenic sense. None of them have some deep hatred for eachother, and none of them wish harm for the others!! The posts being made are certainly not from members of these chapters, and do not reflect the chapters values. The kind posts? Heck yeah, they’re from panhel sisters! We love to support one another. But the mean ones? No way.
