University of Alberta - UA 3.0 The guys and gals that are active in the community all know each other, which can lead to some drama, but its still cool! The houses of some frats are significantly nicer than others, with DKE and DU being the top 2, and FIJI/Phi Delt/Pike/DX/Zeta Psi trailing behind all roughly on the same level. Our community has done a lot of good over the years, but there has always been tension between us all. Cliques shift from year to year. Chapters hold grudges against other chapters for no real reason. There's always an ambassador or two from each chapter that seems to be cool with every frat/sorority, but it isn't enough to bring everybody together. One thing people take for granted is how well the U of A treats us compared to some other universities. As somebody who came from out east (Ontario), I can tell you just how willing the U of A is to work with the community.

University of Alberta - UA 3.3 Although the community is smaller then most, this allows everyone to find there place while still being able to get to know each other.

University of Alberta - UA 3.3 The Greek community at the U of A is actually pretty decently sized as far as Canadian universities are concerned. I believe there are eight fraternities and six sororities. The average fraternity size is smaller, probably around 30, while the average sorority sits at around 60+.
