how competitive is each sorority?

class of 2020 and would like to know how competitive each sorority is? are letters of rec important and if so, which houses really want them?

Based off of tier and strength during recruitment this is how I would rank the competitiveness of each sorority.

KAT DDD DG- top tier and very competitive
AXO GPHI XO APHI- top tier and/or very strong during recruitment, very competitive
KD KKG- top of middle tier, competitive but not as strong as others during recruitment
ADPI PIPHI AXID AOPI AGD- middle tier, compete against each other during recruitment
SDT DZ PSS AEPHI- middle/bottom, less competitive
PHI MU- TBD

I think in general for all of the houses rec letters are not essential but can't hurt.

Move A phi to the middle with KD KKg. Move DG in front of KAT.

Move AXO and GPHI to the top. They are both VERY competitive too.

YES you need recs for all the houses you can get. because for many of us a rec is a requirement to give you a bid. There have been girls that we've had to ask an alum to write a rec for at the last minute but it's better if you have them sent in.

The tiers above are close but

i think that rank is quite odd. based on what I've seen on this site and heard around campus (I'm not in greek life but ALL my friends are in houses and i know a lot)

Not in a house either, but from what I've seen the last three years, Top tier could be any order depending on the day -
---but next two tiers down are in order. Other tiers also can be mixed too.
