spring rush

I know it's not in the nature of the site but please help me out Greek rank. I rushed formally in the fall and didn't get a bid. I'm doing fine but next year all my friends will move into their houses so needless to say I'm a little worried about where to live, etc, and want to be in a sorority before the year is up. What is spring rush like and how does it work? I know you have to have connections and friends in the houses but anything else?

it definitely helps knowing girls in houses because many houses keep informal extremely low-key, but panhellinic also has a link on their site to submit your name and info for spring recruitment. panhel then sends the list to all the houses. worst case a house you don't like contacts you and you don't have to attend/respond, but worth a shot
