pi lam
by: curiousWhy so much hate for Pi Lam? They're a colony. Obviously they won't have it all together.

Because they think they're better than the other houses based on the fact they aren't the stereotypical guys found in the house. And guess what, your wall of prejudice isn't special either. Many houses raise thousands of dollars for good causes close to their heart so gtfo thinking you're the only one bringing awareness to problems around the world.

Not every colony is successful. It's always a 50-50 chance. Sigma Tau gamma came to campus in 2013 and so did phi kappa theta. Both are almost non existent. Phi kap even had a house yet they failed. DKE came last year and hasn't started on the right foot. If you see the stats it's just beta, Pilam and phi kappa Tau which have been mildly successful in the past 2 years and beta and phi tau( they are taking over theta chis house) have big houses. Pilam has managed to make a small niche without a house and don't mock them for that.

Common man. They have to try hard in a school with 47 bigger, established, housed fraternities. It's fine if they are trying to find some selling point to their pnms. It isn't easy being a colony at u of I when you are unhoused. Give them a break and some years.
