If you choose a sorority based on artificial rankings and appearance then you may join a new member class of members who also joined for artificial rankings and appearance. If you feel comfortable getting to know the members and make friends you will join a new member class where the members feel friendship is more important than artificial rankings. Think about it. Every sorority on campus is made up of a diverse group of individuals. Some study more, some party more, some are skinny, some are a little curvier, some are outgoing, some are shy. And whatever you do, don't let a bunch of guys rank you. I believe in the greek community but not the rankings or putting others down to make you feel better. Come on U of I, we're better than that.
