Greek life is huge at U of I. If you are not into the party scene there are pregames like three days a week and people just go to bars. You don’t have to join Greek Life to have fun, but it is encouraged

If you go to U of I Greek life is a huge aspect of life (although you don’t need to go Greek to have fun). So many parties and only have to be 19 to get into bars. Overall great party school

Theres frat pregames everyday of the week and everyone goes to bars afterwards, the parties are on Fridays and Saturdays and they're pretty solid but everyone goes to the bars after since you can get in at 19. Great greek system, if you're not involved its hard to find things to do.
