rushing as upperclassmen
by: PIs it possible to get a bid from a top house if you took a year off and would be rushing at 20-21 ?

it really depends on what you consider a top chapter, what kind of people you generally get along with and if you make connections with members while you are unaffiliated. my best friend rushed as a sophomore and she ended up in a “top” chapter (even though there’s not really a criteria that states exactly what that is) so anything is possible as long as you like talking to people and get to know the girls/guys rushing you

Depending on with whom you make strong connections with in the house. Then if that girl is popular and well respected in that house, then your chances of getting in are greater. If you are making a connection with a deadbeat sister, most likely the rest of the sisters in that house won’t vote for you to get in as they don’t trust the judgement of the deadbeat sister.

If you decide to rush as an upperclassmen if you really want a “top” house (which I recommend you don’t just strive for that because you’ll most likely be disappointed), you better have a good f’ing gpa. Like way above a 3.0. It won’t matter how pretty you are or how much money you have if you’re a junior with a 2.7 gpa you won’t get a top house guaranteed. Not trying to be rude but that’s how it is and girls need to know.
