Yes those bags in which salty mom mentioned are carried by many sorority girls who can afford them at most other schools too. Not just smu- but most PNM's know this

Most girls here do not work when school’s out. Their vacations are reserved for exotic traveling, hanging out with friends, studying, beauty treatments, and more relaxing activities. The girls who do happen to work have internships or help out with the family business. You will never catch a pkt smu girl working at a fast food restaurant, waiting tables, or in retail.

Nope Salty mom- you're wrong. We are seen as classy and bright here in Texas. Just look in admissions office and see that students really want smu (especially in Texas) for not only the education but the name recognition.
