NJ born and sorority bred?

If you are from NJ, does where you are from in NJ matter? For example, "all Bergen county girls wind up in ABC" or "don't go to this house, it's filled with girls who all know each other already from high school"

A friend is at ole miss where they rush in the fall and there are houses that are almost all in-state because of that kind of stuff.
