Dying a slow death
Love Greek life
In the last 5 years, rutgers closed 10+ fraternities. Most notable include sig ep, skull, phi delt, sig chi. Luckily, some merged into current thriving fraternities. Despite setbacks, RU is still a HUGE school and the orgs are constantly adapting. RU's social life remains on another level- waaaay above other NJ schools.
The scene here is pretty good, especially compared to all the schools in the nearby states. The fraternities and sororities are both actively involved within the community. There is reasonable amounts of growth with both and the party and bar scenes are nice too. I’d highly recommend joining Greek life here. It’s a pleasure all round. Just be careful with multicultural frats.
The social scene here is honestly still great. Greek Life is in much better condition than most schools, and it isn’t deteriorating as rapidly as, say, FSU’s Greek Life. Some things are improving as well.
In all honestly, this is still one of those schools were some of Greek Life is preserved. The social scene was still active until the lockdown started and some fraternities were back on campus again. Though some deans may get stricter on fraternities, this school is doing a lot better than some other ones. So, not bad.
With a large amounts of Frats being shut down at Rutgers and across America things look very bleak at the moment. That being said, Rutgers still manages to maintain a sizable greek life. Parties are always fun and there's always something going on when the weekend comes around.
greek life is gone soon uh.
