girls who got bids from top sororities: how?

by: Hi

How did you do it? And when I say top, I mean Gphi, phi sig, zta. Do you attribute it to good looks, personality, knowing people, etc?

Knowing people is probably the most important way of getting a bid. My freshman year I knew several girls in different sororities so basically I was guaranteed of getting any house I wanted. Being super social and going to parties where you can meet new people is how I met them. Also had a boyfriend who was in a fraternity and would be able to meet sorority girls at functions and stuff like that. I would say good looks is not the most important if you become friends with girls in a sorority but it definitely heightens your chance of getting a bid. Also make sure your social media doesn't show anything that would steer a sorority away.

Going off what "zta" said about social media, make sure it looks good. Sororities will be stalking you for weeks before recruitment through your insta/fb etc - so having a cute social media theme that reflects who you are really helps.
Also do not go through recruitment with only one house in mind, if you only act interest at a particular sorority and dont put in any effort in the other ones you risk to get cut and having less options - in other words maximize your chance - a positive energy will shine through.
Dress fashionable, make sure its appropriate/shows off your style. You dont have to buy new clothes for rush but definitely try to show that youre up to trends and know how to portray yourself well
