Iota Gamma Upsilon - ΙΓΥ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 5.0 Definitely on the rise, keep recruiting better and better pledge classes, they keep getting hotter. Ladies are fun to hang out with and know how to have a good time. Great sisterhood.

Iota Gamma Upsilon - ΙΓΥ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 4.4 I live nearby their house and I think the girls at this sorority are really nice. I've made friends with a few sisters this past semester and they are super welcoming. I went to a date party and it was laid back but fun, these girls know how to party. I just wish they hosted more parties.

Iota Gamma Upsilon - ΙΓΥ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 4.5 Such a kind group of girls! I've met so many of the sisters from IGU through classes and work events and they have been some of the most caring and thoughtful people I've ever met! They always go out of their way to look after eachother and their friends. You can't go wrong with having ladies like that in your life.

Iota Gamma Upsilon - ΙΓΥ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 4.2 These girls are awesome! Very diverse and super chill. No matter who you are or where you come from you'll totally find your people. Local means less rules, you don't have to live in house, dues are less, and they can party! Their chapter has been around longer than most on campus and they have some pretty cool history. If you're looking for a laid back group of girls to hang with while still being a part of Greek life then it's definitely the chapter for you.

Iota Gamma Upsilon - ΙΓΥ Sorority at University of Massachusetts Amherst - UMA 4.0 These girls seem to be the definition of fun and friendly!! Every weekend I see them on the porch dancing, laughing, and getting figgity. Some of these girls are in my classes and they are so nice and friendly! They are so open to everyone and everyone's views that it's a breath of fresh air. One of the greatest group of girls!!!

IGU has been on campus for almost 56 years and is one of the oldest local sororities in the country and not to mention, has outlasted many of the national sororities that were on campus back in 1962 when IGU was founded. Being a local sorority means that the house is run by the sisters with alumnae oversight. This allows the sisters to gain leadership skills and independence, as there is no National Organization breathing down their neck. This is an amazing sisterhood and group of alumnae. IGU may not have a million dollar mansion for a house, but the sisters make it what it is and are proud to call it their home. IGU represents a true sisterhood - personally knowing and caring about each sister. This is a group of real women, who have earned the right to call themselves a sister for life.
