Adpi legacy but I really like axo and sk
by: HelpI am a legacy for adpi and I always thought I would end up in adpi but i really want to narrow down axo and sk for pref and narrow it down from there since adpi just seemed too caught up in their imagine and not trying to have real convos.. I just want to know if others have gone against their legacies and is it a big deal. I'm a double legacy btw

All are awesome sororities it just depends what you are looking for! I was a legacy three time over and I ended up where I was a legacy. However I went in with an open mind and liked it best. It is just nice to have that connection with your family but you should choose where you love best and I’m sure your family will be happy for you.

I second that axo is falling. I feel like adpi and sk are very similar chapters i have so many friends in both. I like adpi and think they're down to earth girls tho

guys let’s not sit here and tear apart other sororities. I’m getting so tired of the negativity and drama I see on greekrank every day. Makes me wish I never chose to rush at tech. Like I wanted to join a sorority to be supported and make friends but it feels like no sorority here is serious about that bc all you guys do is bash each other to make yourselves look better...

Hi, I hope this helps please take it with a grain of salt. This is just my experience joining a chapter as a legacy. When I rushed I joined my family’s legacy chapter, even though I connected way more with other girls in the other chapter I preferred, I wanted to join this one because of my family and honestly the reputation of the sorority. I hated my time, I felt like I was an outcast and that i didn’t have any friends. I didn’t connect with the girls as I did in the other chapter I had preferred, and felt I made a huge mistake. Even though I eventually found my group in this sorority I still really regret not following my gut and trying to “please” my family. Don’t let the legacy thing dictate which chapter you choose, if you connect with different girls and feel at home there go with those chapters. When I expressed this to my mom and sisters they were mad that I didn’t follow my instinct and chose based off what “I thought was the right thing to do and not the best thing to do.” They wanted to see me happy and not miserable. Make that choice for yourself I’m not saying you’d be miserable in one over the other but don’t sweat the legacy thing. A lot of chapters will typically have the chapter legacy talking to the best people in order to recruit them in. Not saying that is adpi but from my experience in my chapter I know it exists. All 3 of those chapters you have listed are really similar in tier and ranking, one is not better than the other. Just trust your gut and go with the two that you feel yourself with. Not someone who you’re trying to be. Hope that helps alittle bit, no hate on any of those chapters.

Hi girl! I was a double legacy for Tri Delt and felt the same way with pressures of my family and liking other chapters. I stuck with it until pref and their ceremony really changed my mind. You dk but preference rounds are so different from normal rounds but like others said, really go with your heart and trust the process. Talk to your RG about it too!
