if you join a chapter with all your friends, your less likely to branch out. honestly being forced to branch out and meet new people is your best bet on making genuine friendships

tbh there is no real reason other than superficial stuff. they mix with more mid/bottom tier frats, they’re not all the stereotypical sorority beauty (while still pretty in their own right), and pi phi doesn’t go super hard for philanthropy

It differs between chapters but most chapters have their biggest cuts from philanthropy to sisterhood I would say

if you like them, that's enough! yes they have very different girls in this chapter but it shows that they care more about personality which is what you should be looking for. you won't find anybody trying to fit into a mold here which is really awesome cause i've seen a lot of really genuine friendships come out of it

From what I've seen/heard, they value their sisterhood over everything else. Even though it looks like they have a mixed bag of members, they're pretty picky about who they let into their sisterhood as to protect the culture of their chapter. They're a sorority that some tend to overlook for being "low tier", which at this point doesn't even have well-founded reasoning. Long story short, there isn't a reason not to rank this one well if it's one that you connected with.

sk is very down to earth, come as you are type of vibe. when I went through recruitment I had the best convos here and felt at home, but they weren’t judgy and just wanted me to feel open to be myself. there’s a lot of hilarious girls in this chapter and laid back personalities definitely a good mix of people and super loyal friends.

sigma kappa is a very culturally diverse sorority which is awesome! they have some super cool girls in there, but also a few that are awkward but ur gonna get that with any sorority. overall, they are pretty chill. i don’t think they typically have socials with “top tier” frats but they def still have fun

literally whatever u want. if you can be vulnerable with them, do it!! it’s totally ok to tell them about the dark times in ur life, that’s how you make genuine friendships. i chose my chapter bc when they asked how my first semester was, that was the first place I didn’t feel the need to fake that everything was great and I was honest. if you don’t have anything to open up about, ask them questions about what their chapter means to them and why they chose them

dropped bc I realized greek life wasn’t for me and the chapter I chose valued a lot of things that I thought I did, but really didn’t. i still have so many friends in my chapter and other chapters so I do think Greek life can work out for so many girls! just wanna help people make the right decision on picking a chapter that aligns with who you are, not who you think you want to be

no that doesn’t mean your weird. I know a lot of great girls who are in pi phi they are super fun to party with and really love their sisterhood. if you got them back that’s a really good thing, a lot of girls don’t get houses back. also id ask yourself if you would truly want to spend the majority of your time at college surrounded by people who are actively trying to make you feel bad for being yourself or would you rather spend time with people who don’t try to change you.

do! not! rank! based! on! how! your! friends! rank!!! cannot stress enough how important this is. do not let anybody else change your mind on what you think of chapters, this will most likely lead you to being unhappy if you end up in it. i know it’s scary possibly being in a different chapter than all ur friends but honestly it makes it so much more fun. you get to meet all their friends and they meet yours. joining 2 different chapters does NOT mean the end of a friendship.
