rushing for a sorority as a sophomore

Is it harder to rush as a sophomore, and especially during the second semester?

you're definitely at a disadvantage. But if they really like you, they might make an exception.

I rushed as a sophomore, it was fine but there were a lot of freshmen who were rushing.
