What's New - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - RPI

Very isolated, not popular by any standards. I can't comment on their brotherhood (you'd be hard pressed to find someone that knows a Psi Upsilon brother), but a bottom tier chapter at RPI for sure. [No disrespect, just honest observations]

At first glance, SAE at RPI seems like one of the ideal fraternities - large numbers, good campus involvement, just the right number of parties, a nice house... but once you start digging below the surface, you start to find the problems. I've seen brothers in many fraternities here interact with each other, other fraternities, and the independent population, and I must say that SAE has some of the most cliquiest and rude brothers. Their reputation from other fraternities is poor (put nicely).

Great group of brothers! They're all very involved on campus; one of the brothers is actually Vice President of RPI's sophomore class. They participate in Green Greeks, as well as other campus groups. Really smart group of guys. They also throw awesome parties. Can't wait for Alpha Chi Rhodeo - it's gonna be sick! AXP has good drinks, a good amount of girls (a lot of girls go there regularly, so you're guaranteed to have girls there), and good music. Pong is the main game at Crows.

New house is amazing. It reminds me of a 5-star hotel. All of the guys seem to be really cool. Definitely a top-notch fraternity that's only getting better

I'm so lucky to be friends with so many of the guys in the house. They have always been welcoming and nice to me. Definitely my favorite place to party and hang out. I love spending time with the brothers at their pizza nights.

Chapter is pretty cool, although pretty small. They're definitely the nerdiest of the nerds at RPI, but in a good way. They also have the highest GPA of all the organizations at RPI (even higher than the mens hockey team now)... They don't cause a ruckus and the few times I've visited they've treated me well. Definitely worth checking out. Also, they have chicks! The co-ed thing works out well for them.
