AOPi is huge and top tier nationally, however they are not here. So national rank doesn't mean anything

AOII is not top tier almost anywhere. I'm a campus rep I can tell you the two most consistent are ZTA and APhi. Next would be XO and Pi Phi. Bottom are tridelt, kappa, aoii and randoms you've never heard of (dphie, phisig, trisig)

If you are a freshman you could always rise again next year. If you dropped formal because "you didn't get into a top tier" then I suggest you do not rush ZETA because ZETA is going to be the lowest tier here....they're going to be looking for girls with leadership qualities and girls who actually want to build a chapter and not just party. If you are rushing zeta then I hope you are in a lot of other clubs and organizations because thats what they want.

Honestly new chapters are a toss up. Gamma Phi has done great, however it's not a guarantee that Zeta will do as well (although I think they will). Also, if a lot of PNMs drop out for ZTA, then it will get more competitive. They can't take everyone, so dropping out might be risky. Something to consider.

That is so not true.
This house will be some kappa babies, who some of them where weird from the start, there will be girls that houses dropped and didn't want. Most likely they will be some cute girls just like all houses have some more than others. But they will NOT be hot . They were never a strong presence when they were at OSU back in the day. Word from my osu alum dad it was the same top houses back then as today. So prob history repeating itself they will be just ok.

Look at Alpha Phi's colony at Ole Miss, this is their first year and the guys love them, they're gorgeous girls. Ole Miss has some of the most competitive and longstanding sororities in the states. If they can do it so can ZTA here

Okay good for them at ole miss but every chapters recolonization is COMPLETELY different. No top tier frat is going to start at the very bottom no matter their national rep, sorry.

They DO actually, ole miss is the most tier focused Greek system ever and those boys mixed because boys don't care about tiers, they care about looks (which happens to correspond with tiers at osu.) You just sound threatened. Go ahead and ask the boys if they're excited to swap with zetas. Their minds may change once they have a PC but I'm pretty confident the girls they choose will be pretty

That's good that they won't take scraps that other houses tossed aside.
Sorry that some girls just slip through the cracks and some girls it's just not for you even though you tried. Ohio state is such a large campus and greek life is such a small part of it. Move on to better things

My sister's best friend is a ZTA and I decided to suicide Zeta because I love what they're about and believe I would be a good fit. One thing that's awesome about it is I just don't feel we have one house on here that's a huge percentage of top type girls. All the houses, even the best, don't seem to be that selective. I hope that, whether I get a bid or not, ZTA turns out to be a kickass selective sorority. They're known for that nationally so I hope they stay true to it!

you can't suicide Zeta.... they aren't recruiting currently.... and you will most likely get a bid to a chapter tomorrow and then you won't be able to rush Zeta for 1 year even if you don't sign your bid card....

Silly girl. A number of sororities are very strong nationally. Bottom line, it is the one at OSU that is the most important.
