snap bid?
by: hiWhat are snap bids and how do they work? Also how many girls do you think are going to be going out for Zeta? I was formal rushing and had to return home for something important so I had to withdrawal.

So this is how it works: if you went through recruitment and on the day of bid day if a chapter didn't make quota, they can extend you a snap bid. It's generally if they really liked you/remember you. It can be from any round, not just sisterhood. Though with zeta coming onto campus, sororities have to snap bid/have you accept it really quickly so they don't interfere with zetas recruitment. It's only fair. When gamma phi came on, a lot of girls rushed. Like a lot. If girls got dropped from their dream house, they'd generally withdrew and rushed gamma phi. It really hurt a lot of people's numbers. I'm assuming the same thing will happen this year too. Maybe not as much since zeta wasn't on top of the getting their name out there as was gamma phi. If a sorority doesn't snap bid you(you can be snap bidded) I'd go ahead and check out zeta. If you don't care for zeta or don't get a bid, I'm sure some sororities will have informal. Which isn't a bad thing. Some of the best chapters have informal, and some of the bottom tier houses don't. It's just depends on how the cookie crumbles. Keep ya head up grl!

Thanks so much! I was only here the first round so I doubt anyone will remember me but do you think zeta will be super competitive?
