sabotage

I'm worried someone is trying to sabotage my rush. When I was home for winter break I found out that the older sister of a girl I didn't get along with in high school who is an alum of a good sorority on this campus wrote me a negative rec. I'm worried it will get passed to other houses too. Should I be worried? I made a really big mistake in high school and I know she brought it up

It probably won't get passed around to other houses, but I would be cautious about the house you've made a negative impression on. It's impossible to get to know 1500+ girls during rush, so previous impressions are important. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

maybe the talk of this "letter" was to scare you? i would think most girls would leave high school stuff behind them. that said, the above poster is right...unfortunately we see so many girls, first impressions are important. still go through rush though - I'm sure you will find a house! :)
