colonizations
by: Hope
Since we will hopefully get new sororities in the next two years, here are some facts that I found on chapters that were here before.
Alpha Delta Pi closed in 2002
Sigma Delta Tau closed in 2000
Sigma Kappa closed in 1998
Phi Mu closed in 1998
Zeta Tau Alpha closed in 1989
There were several that closed and opened several times: Delta Phi Epsilon and Phi Sigma Sigma, which are both at capital University. And quite a few that were open a long time ago.
I hope some of these will be considered during the selection process instead of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Zta most likely will never be offered to recolonize. The reasons they were kicked off campus included hazing (when one of their pledges died) and prostitution. They presented for extention the last time and they didn't make it past the first round (they only presented because they were eligible). Going off the vote from the last extention it will most likely be Phi Mu who gets invited back.
And there won't be a new chapter until 2017 its always been 2017 and all chapters were told that.

It happens right after formal recruitment. The sororities that come on campus have their own PR and recruitment process like Gamma Phi did. They might be in the first round of formal recruitment too.
