Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority Ratings at OSU

Always super friendly and cute - never a bad time out either

AOPi is full of great women who genuinely love each other. It's a bit of a niche sorority and has a pretty different vibe from the other sororities at OSU. The members are really supportive and sweet to each other, and they really seem just like a big group of close friends. I didn't find my home here, but the people I know who have seem to be really happy.

They get a lot of hate, and I honestly believe the vast majority of it is undeserved. The sisters I’ve gotten to know are some of the nicest people, both to each other and those outside their chapter. They struggle with recruitment because of the negative rep they have, but I encourage you to give them a chance. Not everyone there’s perfect, but they’re sweet and genuine. I wish I had more friends like the girls I met in this sorority.

The sisters at AOii are all very friendly and seem to all get along very well. Based on this, I will say that they seem to have strong culture of sisterhood. They're really starting to grow, and anytime I've done something with them, I've never felt more welcomed. Overall, I've heard a lot of negative things about this sorority, but personal experience has told me otherwise.

There’s a lot of BS about AOII on here, both positive and negative, so I want to clear that up. AOII is smaller because they have trouble recruiting. They have a very negative rep for being the outcasts and girls no one else wants. They offer a lot of bids, but many girls refuse. Most of their recruitment problems come from the negative rep, not even their chapter. However, my personal experience was nothing but negative during both formal & informal recruitment with these girls. They were very rude to me personally and standoffish. On top of that, they seemed to gossip about me while I was at the table. The hate they receive is definitely uncalled for on the level it’s at, but they aren’t as innocent & nice as they like to appear when they place victim. AOII has diverse girls. They recruit based on their values & not looks (which greek like should take notes from them on this). It’s nice to see sisters that aren’t all size 2 blondes. They have a strong bond because they care about their values and you don’t see them tearing each other down. They’re never a chapter causing issues in PHA. They are as social as other chapters, just maybe with frats you’re not as used to hearing about, because they’re smaller at this point so they pair with smaller frats they’re size. They are very supportive of other greek orgs & always involved in the Greek community. Every time I’ve knocked on their door for chapter walks they’ve been the sweetest humans. They have a very unique house (in a good way), but it’s not necessarily close to campus. Up to you to outweigh the good & bad, but don’t rule out AOII solely for being AOII. They could be the perfect home for you. Stop letting reputation be a deciding factor and go based on the fact and, more importantly, your heart.
