Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority Ratings at NIU

These girls are so amazing! I didn't rush in the fall because I was iffy about the whole recuitment process, but after hanging out with a bunch of these girls, it made me want to go through recuitment this fall! I definitely recommend rushing Sig Kap because not only are these girls so sweet, but also they know how to have a good time and all of the frats respect them.

My friend is a Sigma Kappa, I was always told to go greek but never did. But even though im not in a sorority, Sig Kaps still welcome me when I see them around. They are genuine girls and they honestly deserve top house. Im not sure why everyone bashes on them because I never seen a problem with them. Some of them have actually become some of my best friends and made my college experience so much better!

I constantly hear these girls talking bad about me and my friends even though I dont even know them. Not sure why they are talking bad about other people but its rude. Ive only tried to be nice everytime I see them out and the gesture is not returned.

Okay so I dropped SK after a year because they honestly suck. They couldn't go more than a day without talking about another sorority in the official groupme.. Literally confirming the lack of self confidence within this house. I wish they would stop bragging about their title as "best sorority in Dekalb" because I literally have screenshots of them yelling at us to make 8 different emails to vote for ourselves. You'll wish you chose another house.

They try so hard for things that should come naturally. They only want to hangout with a particular frat if they see that top houses are hanging out with them too... just reminds me of the wannabe's in high school. Your college years can make or break you and this house unfortunately will break you and make you go downhill so hard. Wouldn't hurt you guys to focus a little more on looks honestly

If you still want to live in your high school days then this is the house for you, all they do is gossip about other houses. Any "good" review is guaranteed to be written by a member of their house. Never seen so many "women" work so hard to tear other houses down so that they look better.

More of the stand offish type. One of the most dropped sororities. Girl I roomed with a few years back would cry and say she made a huge mistake. I don't know much ab Greek life I just know they have the stigma of being stuck up and being overtly jealous of top houses (sigmas or asas) cute girls but their jealousy and need to put down other houses shows their insecurity. Just an outsiders opinion

What a phenomenal sorority... I'm not affiliated with a sorority now but because of the Sigma Kappas I have met, I am definitely considering rushing now. Their sisterhood is prevelant throughout their everyday life and they are always SO welcoming and kind. Beautiful, intelligent women. Best sorority on campus without a doubt. Don't fall for the rumors posted on here by other jealous sororities. Wait until you meet them, they will show you how wrong some of these comments are.

The women of Sigma Kappa have such a great influence to greek life on our campus. They are outgoing and go out of their way to talk to everyone at parties. They don't stick to just hanging out with other girls in their house, and are well rounded Panhellenic women! I am a huge fan of the women in this sorority, and not only are they kind and genuine with a sisterhood that is strong, they are all as beautiful as can be.

If I did not already have too much on my plate, i would go greek and go Sig Kap. They do so much philanthropy work, they are so sweet and so nice. some of the most down to earth girls you will ever meet! the sisterhood they have can match no other. they are well rounded, amazing girls.
