Delta Gamma - ΔΓ Sorority at Northern Illinois University - NIU 2.7 When i was a freshman, I was a member. I loved DG with my whole heart. I was so involved and always looked forward to giving back. I never really connected with many of the women older than me since I didn’t party. Fast forward to my sophomore year when I moved into the house, I felt lonely. I was bullied and my self worth dropped. It felt as if I was in middle school rather than what was supposed to be an uplifting and strong sisterhood. I ended up dropping when I reached a low point. Not a single person reached out to me until I announced I was moving back to DeKalb... Suddenly my messages were constantly coming in. I really could have used that support when I lived in the house. I hope to see this chapter work hard and improve, I really believed in them. Overall, not the best experience I’ve had, and wish there was not as much pettiness, drama, and lies.
