I would say a good percentage of CMU kids are in Greek life. Girls are getting hotter, guys are getting uglier. More frats but some seem to be decreasing in size so who knows for how long

Greek life isn’t huge at CMU but its kept a steady size over the years. Feels bigger than it actually is because the majority of social people join Greek life

Great. For the sororities, many of them are non-toxic and they are diverse, which is a major advantage compared to most state school srats.

Joining Greek life is the best decision I’ve made since coming to CMU. My chapter is full of amazing people that I really love and appreciate.

Greek life at CMU is fun. Not at all like it is at state schools. Anyone who wants to be in Greek life can be, with the right chapter, it can be an incredible experience.

Super happy I went greek here. Could be better, but I'm really happy with the group of people I joined and I wouldn't expect much more of such a difficult school (particularly related to parties, etc.).

While frats/srats here aren't anywhere near as big as most state schools, it's definitely the focal point of the social scene and far and away the easiest avenue to meeting people that don't want to spend Friday night doing homework. At least 80% of the normal people at CMU join Greek life and it gives you something to do every weekend. None of the houses really have hard pledging and like any school some houses (SAE, Theta) are more selective than others.
