thoughts on alpha phi
by: YikesI’ve heard from many people that alpha phi is trying to come for kappa and zeta and replace them as “top tier.” They also have said they are trying to be pi kapps new favorite. Based on who they brought in this year they are only right above adpi... thoughts?

Alpha phi has a lot of good girls. I would consider them right above ADPi on the totum pole, they are new so they are starting at the bottom. Kappa and Zeta are established as top houses on campus and there’s no way alpha phi could take their spot any time soon. If alpha phi does want to move up, they need to befriend other sororities. Every sorority at Baylor is good... but no one will like a sorority that is catty and trying to knock others down. If this is true, their best bet is to befriend other houses and frats and make genuine connections. Trying to knock down kappa or zeta will just make them look catty, and jealous.

I’ve heard this too. The last thing alpha phi would want is to make enemies with zeta or kappa. I agree with ^^^^^ ... they need to make friends with other sororities and fraternities if they ever want to move up. I think they can definitely move up, but it will depend if they are nice to other chapters and respected

When they brought in their first pledge class they focused on GPA, not looks/activities/leadership. Mistake.

Exactly. When people tried to say alpha phi wasn’t gonna be top everyone got so offended. I know I can’t exactly say for the entire chapter, but the only aphis I know absolutely love drama. Bottom tier for sure in my opinion.

It’s funny to hear y’all saying THEY need to “play nice” while YOU’RE bashing them. I guess they can’t win.
They got some GREAT girls!
Alpha Phi was probably chosen because they’re one of the few sororities that can come in as the new kid and not lay on the floor and get beaten for years. And I don’t know where they’ll land, but good for them for giving pnms another option!

There is no way A Phi is above AXO or ADPi. You can’t event compare them to other chapters for another few years because the girls don’t know eachother yet or know how things work. They’re still a shambley mess and have no sisterhood yet. At least ADPi, AXO, and ZTA are established and have events put together, whereas APhi won’t even have the budget or resources to do the same kinds of things for their chapter for another few years. They just don’t know what to do yet
