The are very some things about Baylor’s Greek life that make it difficult to a part of. For one, there is no associated housing. Yes guys live with their frat bro and girls live with their sisters, but there are no designated houses, which sometimes makes it hard to really connect with that particular Greek org you’re a part of. Another factor about the Greek system at Baylor is the uneven ratio of frats to sororities. They are twelve frats and only nine sororities. Also another weird rule is that sororities are not allowed to throw parties, only the frats are, which is ironic cause Baylor is anti-alcohol. The last problem with Greek life at Baylor is that because there are so few Greek orgs, it is very competitive to join sororities or fraternities there and they are very selective.

Greek life is amazing! No better way to meet others at college. Lots of fun things to do--parties, formals, Sing, intramurals, and on and on. Recruitment is very competitive. It's extremely important to go to Panhellenic previews in the fall. And get good grades since several sororities require a minimum of 3.0 to join.

for being the size of baylor, it is great to see how the size of greek life has grown. it is definitely more competitive because of the smaller number of chapters at baylor, but it makes the campus seem very greek heavy with the involvement shown on campus.

Baylor has grown to over 20,000 students. This has caused sorority recruitment to become highly competitive. It’s a stressful process but it’s so worth it in the end. I have made lifelong friends and some pretty incredible memories. Greek life at Baylor is the best!

Greek life here is pretty great. It’s the best way to make connections and meet a lot of people. Seems like there’s always something going on, whether it’s a philanthropy project or a party. I even found roommates for next year through my sorority.

I’m gonna go against the usual way of thinking and give BU 5 stars for no sorority houses. I’m a Greek transfer from a college with houses and I was DREADING having to live in one. I didn’t want to have to share a room as an upperclassman. And I didn’t want to be forced into a meal plan. Don’t get me wrong, I really loved the girls. But if I wanted it to stay that way, I needed a little space. Anyway, for other reasons, I transferred to Baylor and I have to say I am so happy with my chapter here. I still spend a lot of time with my sisters but at least I don’t have to sacrifice my privacy. Not to mention how expensive dues are when there’s a house to pay for! Greeklife here is great!
