What is COB? Spring rush?

What the heck does COB stand for? Not familiar with the sorority terms.

COB stands for continuous open bidding. a sorority will usually do this when they do not meet their quota during formal recruitment or possibly have a lot of seniors graduate that fall semester. not every chapter does COB some only do formal recruitment.
