If a chapter woman tells you at pref that they want you and want to see you on bid day does that mean your chances are good

You wouldn't be at their pref if they were not seriously interested but no it's not a guarantee

If you are at their pref then you are on their bid list somewhere, but there is no way to tell how high up you are on it though. The computer will match their bid list in order to pnm's preference orders until they make quota. You might make their final bid list or not.

i had a house do that but found out this morning i didn't get a bid because i figured that house really wanted me and said that they wanted to see me on bid day and didn't want me to go to any other house so i committed suicide only to end up sad and bidless

Did your Rho Gamma not explicitly explain the process to you? Most houses say that. If you hadn't suicided, you might have ended up there. If you aren't on list A for any of the 3 sororities, they try to match you with your highest.
