Snap bids happen after bid matching for sororities that did not make quota. These chapters have the option to look over the list of unmatched girls and offer them a bid before the bid day festivities begin. Only a couple of people in the chapter will know that the girl(s) were not on the original bid list. As far as everyone else is concerned the girl received her bid the regular way. She will be at the bid day celebration and not miss out on a thing.
Girls who SIP (suicide) and don't match are not eligible for a snap bid, but they could COB, which happens after bid day.
