zeta rec required

Is it true ZTA requires a rec for you to actually get a bid? I was confused on why I got asked back because I'm not legacy/ don't have a rec and why would they waste their time with me?

No, you can get a bid without having a rec or being a legacy. They are just highly selective

If their nationals require a rec and they like you they will find an alum to take care of it.

Maybe they asked you back because they liked you?
It's as simple as that. Just because they are a top house don't underestimate yourself. Obviously they saw something in you.
Good luck if that is where you end up. An amazing group of women at zeta but then again I think all our houses are really great!
