How useful are recommendations for recruitment? I have it for a few houses but are you damned if you don't? I'm a sophomore...

As a sophomore, more important than recs are going to be your relationships with sorority women, your reputation on campus, your GPA, and your activities. If you have a rec for a particular chapter, it might encourage them to give you a closer look.

They are helpful. I know our chapter reviews them. Not having them isn't the end of the world though.

some chapters don't have a number of rounds that we HAVE to keep girls who are legacies/have letters of rec, just trust the system and it'll all work out
