PiKA will always be hated on. When you have an association of competitive organizations, such as frats, the more dominant groups like PiKA & Lambda Chi tend to be held in a biased neg. view by the other lesser organizations. These dominant organizations hold an even stronger negative view of each other. Take for ex. two top NBA teams like CHI & MIA. Miami is a clear dominant force in the NBA, but what happens when you ask fans of other NBA teams (especially Chi fans) their opinion of MIA?

I got a bid from Lambda Chi, DTD, Sig Ep, & PiKA during rush my freshman year. I accepted DTD cause a lot their members were guys I knew from high school that were a year or two ahead of me & I had been invited to all their parties since the beginning of the year. Over the next month or so I got to know a few of the pikes & got a better understanding of all the houses in general. I dropped out of DTD about 5 weeks into pledging & rushed Pike my sophomore year. Best decision I ever made at EIU
