Here is the real deal with sororities from an outside perspective:

If you are the average, social, fun girl:

If you are concerned with popularity/image:

If you are down-to-earth and don't care about popularity/image:

Any girl/guy that isn't in a sorority or in a frat would agree with this. These other posts are from people in the houses that they voted as "best". I am in none of these housess!

People can rank these organizations anyway they want and they will almost always come out differently because everyone ranks them on different things. Some of these are solely on who parties the hardest and others on who has the most presences and wins the most competitions. Since there is already a sorority one, I'll try to put it into fraternity sense, just in case there is any potential new members who look at this (which you honestly should NEVER use this site to decide which fraternity/sorority you want to join. If you do, have fun hating your life.)

If the party scene is the biggest factor for you:
Lambda Chi Alpha
Sigma Chi
Pi Kappa Alpha

If winning competitions is the biggest factor for you:
Sigma Pi
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Sigma Phi Epsilon

If you are average and want an overall average experience:
Delta Tau Delta
Sigma Nu

If you don't care about popularity/image and want a small group of close guys:
Alpha Tau Omega
Phi Kappa Theta
Delta Chi

Just because these are in a certain category, does not mean that they don't do the others, but from the outside, that is just where they seem to concentrate their efforts and where they stand in my head. Please note (again, just in case you are a potential new member), ALL fraternities party and have parties. Some more frequent than others and some bigger than others.
