Gettysburg is a very greek school for its size. I would recommend joining a fraternity or sorority or sports team if you want to be apart of the weekend social life. Aside from that Gettysburg is very well-rounded
Frats haze a lot but the girls don't really anymore because too many of them got in trouble. Greek life runs the weekend social scene so rushing is kind of necessary if you want things to do. The organizations vary from being super uninvolved and problematic to super overachieving and extra. Getting bids from frats is much easier than getting bids from sororities, girls are very selective and competitive in recruitment
Gettysburg is a very fratty school. You might not guess it, what with being a small liberal arts college, but this school holds its own in the frategory.
There is a good bit of hazing going on in fraternities (normal), but soroities haze too which is pretty different from a lot of other greek systems.
Gettysburg's greek life is campus social life. The school touts a greek life involvement number to prospective students far below(<35%) what the actual number is far (>50%).
