No letters to any sorority. Didn't go to the preview day since I did not sign up until after the deadline.

Vanderbilt doesn’t require rec letters like other SEC schools but a lot of houses at least look at them - don’t need to go out of your way on that. It’s really for the best if you go to preview day. Even though it doesn’t technically count, by not going you’re missing out on that first meeting with a lot of houses that other people are getting, so not going really doesn’t have any benefits. They don’t get to meet you and you miss out on getting a feel for the general chapter vibes (your own opinion as opposed to what you’ve heard all semester)

Get a rec for each house if you can. Not a requirement but it helps.

PPD only will effect you if youre REALLY good or REALLY bad, otherwise doesnt matter much except for practice/to settle nerves

Is it mostly freshmen who go? How many upperclass usually go through recruitment?

Absolutely get recs.. Remember that while Vandy now draws students both nationwide and worldwide, many girls at Vandy are from the true South and will absolutely have rec letters sent. Plus, some nationals REQUIRE that a girl has a rec on file before receiving a bid.
So just secure as many as you can. Why not be as prepared as possible?
