real fraternity rankings

by:

Accurate rankings since everyone can’t seem to agree on them
TOP TIER
Kappa Sig: Probably the best fraternity experience at state. Good mix of brotherhood, parties, campus involvement. South seas is one of the best parties on campus all year and the guys are very respectful

Sigma Chi: Very popular but also 13th grade of high school in most cases. Could easily be the best frat on campus if they took the best guys coming through rush instead of guys from 3 towns in Mississippi

UPPER MID
KA: A few bad apples in the mix for sure but still a strong fraternity, although last year’s pledge class was a step down. Good mix of out-of-state guys. “Southern gentlemen” for the most part

SAE: Too wild for most and the house is pretty bad but still recruit well enough to rank in this tier. Need to tighten up before they get the same treatment as their ole miss chapter though

MIDDLE TIER
Lambda chi, Fiji: Both have shot up in numbers over the last couple years and have been fighting to move into the next tier since. Decent frats that would be a lot better if they focused on quality instead of trying to get more pledges than the other

Phi Delt: Opposite of the previous two. Smaller chapter but gets the guys they want and have one of the best brotherhoods on campus. Hurt by being on sorority row but easily the best frat over there could be top of this tier if they could increase their numbers a little

LOWER MID
Pi kapp: Solid chapter that doesn’t really stand out in any one category, pretty new to campus but doing a good job for what they have.

Pike: Considering their house is probably the second nicest on campus, they perform well below where they should be in basically every category

BOTTOM TIER (the rest)
Phi tau
Sig ep
Delta chi
Farmhouse
AGR
Sigma nu

Thank you for this! I would have to agree with this assessment of our frats. If a senior boy reads this, I think this would help him understand frat life at State! Good job!

Agree with almost all of this except KA. KA here is so bad they were going to be removed by nationals if they didn’t take a pledge class of at least 60 so they handed out an absurd number of early bids disregarding quality and going for quantity. Don’t even get us started on their antics

by: If KA is so bad

How would blanket bidding help them? Why would nationals think adding numbers is helpful?

Grades are very low. Gave bids to people trying to get grades up.

I do wonder why Lambda doesn’t believe in late night parties. Those are what make those listed fun!!!

A lambda told me they are only worried about grades since their GPA is so high.
