Mississippi State University - MSU 3.5 The school and Greek has improved so much more through the years. The strictness is do to liability concern. We live out of state but were close to student Max Gruver (LSU), look it up. Every schools nightmare and it can happen again anywhere. Most of the people are trashing the school hate MSU it is obvious by the harshness in the reviews. You go to college for the academics, affordability and other activities to be able to deal in the Real World. Greek is great but does not give you much in the long term, a few good friends for life and lot of spent money on mostly social drinking/partying. Part of what makes Mississippi State great is the people and the love for the university. It is not all hicks with missing teeth, again a biased opinion to knock on MSU. State is getting close to 50/50 out of state so it may be more diverse than most SEC schools. Also has the highest African American percentages of the total enrollment in the SEC.

Mississippi State University - MSU 3.8 Honestly I think that MSU has some Great fraternity and sororities despite what is being said on this site. Besides Kappa Alpha they tend to show their true colors all the time.

Mississippi State University - MSU 2.0 Honestly, it’s a really bad school. The night life is dead, your options are like 5 bars or an occasional frat party that only underclassmen go to unless it’s one of the few big weekends the school has. The people overall are fairly trashy, and it’s made up of mostly Mississippi kids from the same 3 towns. Go to a real sec school and not this second hand one.

Honestly, it’s a really bad school. Mississippi State University - MSU 4.5 I haven’t heard of any hazing in sorority life. I’ve never felt the slightest in my sorority. I’ve heard that the frats have stupid tasks but never heard of anything extreme or wild. Comfortable school and greek life. Not too overwhelming to where you can’t work or keep up with school but just enough to be involved and social.
